If you're a Filipino passport holder residing in the UAE and dreaming of visiting Japan—whether it's to experience cherry blossoms, taste authentic sushi, or explore ancient temples—this guide is for you. We’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of getting a Japan visa for Filipino in UAE.

Do Filipino Passport Holders Need a Visa for Japan?

Yes. All Philippine passport holders need a visa to enter Japan, regardless of residency. But the good news is, if you're living in the UAE, the application process is fairly straightforward.

Where to Apply Japan visa as a Filipino in the UAE

You’ll need to submit your application through an approved travel agency. The Japan Embassy and Consulate in the UAE do not accept direct visa applications from Filipino passport holders. If you're a Filipino passport holder residing in the UAE, VFS Global is one of the authorized agencies to handle Japan visa applications for Filipino in UAE. Here's exactly how to apply, step-by-step:
